Volunteers provide valuable assistance in a variety of ways during museum events, as well as everyday operation of the museum.  They are a vital part of our museum, and we have a wide variety of opportunities available!  We hope you will join us!

Heritage Tours

Character actors to portray Muskogee's heritage, during the Heritage Tours such as the
Bass Reeves Western History Conference.

If you would like to Volunteer to help out

Wally scans photographs and documents and organizes digital files.

Volunteers are on-site during the museum's business hours, Wednesday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or during special events. Opportunities to volunteer vary in what area we need help with. Such as:
Daily needs
Set up and take down for special exhibits and events
​Assistance while giving tours
Food Servers 
Research and library assistance
General Cleaning and Deep Cleaning
​Characters for Heritage Tours
Flagpole/flower/garden landscaping
