Volunteer!

Volunteers provide valuable assistance in a variety of ways during museum events, as well as everyday operation of the museum.  They are a vital part of our museum, and we have a wide variety of opportunities available!  We hope you will join us!

Historic Tours

 Volunteer Opportunities:

Character actors to portray Muskogee's history, and guides during the Historic Tours such as:
Haunted History Tours
Bass Reeves Western History Conference
Other scheduled tours

We have many others. Give us a call if you are interested in re-enacting.

OR if you have a historical character you would like to portray and that person is buried at Greenhill Cemetery let us know.

Wally scans photographs and documents and organizes digital files.

Volunteers set up their own schedule for assisting the museum during the museum's business hours, Wednesday - Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. after choosing their area of interest. Opportunities that may interest you where we have immediate need:

Computer Activities:
Scanning
Research assistance for projects

Other things
Set up and take down for special exhibits and events

Research and library assistance
General Cleaning and Deep Cleaning
